This week unfortunately Kaz was unable to do
BEER TUESDAY
As she had some family committments to attend to :(
So i thought i would take the opportunity to get a coffee
& sit at one of my favourite spots,
POINT DANGER...
to relax alittle....clear my head
& just breath for a moment xx
Point Danger is a Headland
Located @ Coolangatta on the Southern End of the Gold Coast
On the East Coast of Australia.
Point Danger
Has Snapper Rocks & Rainbow Bay to the West,
With Duranbah Beach and the Tweed River Mouth to the South.
To This Day Point Danger
Has also indicated the border between NSW & QLD since 1863.
The Point is the location of the Captain Cook Memorial & Lighthouse,
Also The Marine Rescue NSW Station.
Point Danger is also known for
The Centaur Memorial and Walk Of Rememberance.
The Centaur Memorial remembers the sinking of the
Australian Hospital Ship Centaur
by a Japanese submarine on 14th May 1943.
The Walk Of Rememberance commemorates other ships & crew lost
to Japanese and German action during WW2,
And takes form of plaques arranged in a semicircle around the lookout fence.
From Point Danger
The Sea stretches out infront of you for miles,
You will often see Dolphins Playing &
On a fine day there are views from Surfers Paradise to Byron Bay.
I just love this place
Its absolutely beautiful.
I always feel so peaceful & calm when i visit this spot ,
My mind becomes clearer.
Its been one of my favourite places since i moved here 20 years ago.
I really enjoyed my moment of silence
& my coffee today
Im now ready for the busy week ahead :)
