Our Funny Fishing Adventure

So for this weeks Adventure
Kaz & I headed 30 minutes south to beautiful Brunswick Heads
for a spot of FISHING...
I Know I know its the dads who fish not the mums ..
Well Screw That ...LOL :)

Kaz & I knew that this Fishing Adventure was going to take alot of time and patience 

So we decided to get a yummy morning treat into us straight away..

My treat was a coffee frappe & a strawberry tart..

Kaz's treat was a lemon frappe & a coffee eclair..

Which we found at the beautiful Brunswick Bakery

while walking to get our prawns for bait :)

Well first of all Kaz had to explain to me how to fish ...

How to put the bait on...

How to cast... 

And how to even know if i had a bite  

PMSL :)

Well we had a few bites 

We had a few tangles ...MY FAULT ... LOL

& I got my line stuck on a rock... 

Haaaaa Haaa Haaa Haa 

The biggest Laugh was when we saw the fish jumping out of the water right before our eyes

And this pelican catch 6 in his bill & eat them infront of us

As we continued to catch nothing :(

So we thought stuff this ...LOL

We then decided to hire a tinnie 

Which we did from Brunswick Buccaneers @ $50 for an hour

And got our asses out on the beautiful Brunswick River

We picked our spot.... 

Dropped our anchor.... 

And POW..... 

Kaz caught a fish 

A Brim to be exact

Dont worry guys we threw him back in :) 

All while i sat patiently at the front of the boat

 waiting to catch my first ever fish 

Which unfortunately never happened :(

BUT NOW FOR THE EXTREMELY HILARIOUS PART 

OF WHICH WE DO NOT HAVE A PIC

DUE TO ME NOT GIVING KAZ MY PHONE PASSCODE

Kaz & I decided after our limited success at fishing

And with 10 minutes until the boat was due back 

we would jump off the tinnie & go for a swim

one to wash the fishy smell off us 

and two to end our day feeling refreshed

THIS WAS ALL VERY WELL & GOOD 

UNTIL I HAD TO GET BACK INTO THE BOAT 

Kaz had managed to climb up the side of the tinnie 

& get back in 

ME HOWEVER

I was scrambling at both sides of the boat 

trying to figure out how i was going to get back in 

Kaz came to my aid 

telling me how to hook my legs over the hand rail on the side of the tinnie

and to hold on with my hands at each side of my legs 

and pull myself back into the boat

I tried this 3 times & failed

I was really starting to panic that i wasnt going to get back in the boat

I just didnt have the upper body strength

Plus the water was starting to look darker and scarier 

and the thoughts of what might be in the water with me 

started to set in 

So I took a deep breath 

and tried again 

With Kazs fits of laughter and encouragment

I hooked my legs back over

Grabbed the boat

And with all my mite

I yanked on the boat hard enough so i could reach the strap of the tinnies canopy

and pulled myself back up & into the boat

NOT REALISING THAT I NEARLY CAPSISED THE TINNIE 

IN THE PROCESS 

Once i was back on the boat 

kaz and i were in fits of laughter

she told me how she had rushed to the opposite side of the tinnie

to try to weigh it down before it tipped over

realising she was half my weight & it never would have mattered ..LOL

we couldnt believe what had just happened 

It was hilarious 

We could hardly speak we were laughing that much

We then quickly started the tinnie 

& headed back to shore

Which was even funnier

Cos when it came to parking the tinnie

Kaz couldnt turn the engine off

We nearly reversed into a yacht

Then we hit a stationary boat sideways

All before the man grabbed us & helped us get off 

HAAAA HAAA HAAA

Who needs a man 

when u can nearly sink a tinnie & get stranded in the river 

with your Best Friend 

IT WAS THE BEST ADVENTURE YET

&

WE LAUGHED ALL THE WAY HOME

BEER TUESDAY @ HOTEL BRUNSWICK

Today Kaz & I drove 30 minutes South to Brunswick Heads for our BEER TUESDAY :)

Hotel Brunswick is located in the heart of Brunswick Heads in the Byron Bay Shire of NSW.

Brunswick Heads is a small unspoilt coastal village on the NSW North Coast , situated at the mouth of the Brunswick River.

Hotel Brunswick has a spectacular view of the Brunswick River....

It is really beautiful at any time of day or night.

Hotel Brunswick has an assortment of local beers ,

As well as your typical Aussie Beers...

However this week i felt like a Vodka Lime & Soda....LOL 

Not A Beer .... I Know ...Hee Hee :)

Hotel Brunswick also have an amazing menu 

Kaz & I shared the Chilli Beef Nachos cos the serving was huge 

But extremely yummy !!!!

Hotel Brunswick are also well known for there brilliant entertainment and  live music :)

Well another successful BEER TUESDAY done & dusted

Laughs aplenty

great conversation & drinks flowing 

Sun was shining 

What more could a girl ask for ....

Next week 

Adrenalin Jet Boating Safari

So since we have been experiencing all of this stinking hot weather , 

Kaz & I decided we needed to cool down alittle while having some extreme fun.

We saw on our bucket list that Kaz had never been Jet Boating and POW 

there was our next adventure :) 

We love to support small local businesses around the coast 

and that is how we found 

GC JETBOATING

who are located behind SeaWorld Nara Resort on the Broadwater

Captain Jamie took us for a thrill ride we will never forget !!

We did Awesome 360 degree spins ..Wicked Fishtails....Wave Riding & Hooning down the beach in water only inches deep 

Captain Jamie also stopped for us to look at the pod of Dolphins who were playing near by.
During our awesome 45 minute experience we were also taken around Soverign Island ,
where we were shown some amazing mansions and told there net worth.
We could have given Clive Palmer a shout from the boat we were that close

On our way back from our adventure
we were also shown parts of South Stradbroke Island & Wavebreak Island
where camping is permitted.

Kaz & I gave smoking hot Captain Jamie and his Jet Boat Safari a big thumbs up
We cant believe we had this whole experience for only $55
GC Jet Boating had us on the edge of our seats the whole time
It was an exhilarating way to see the beautiful Gold Coast Broadwater
And after being soaked
Karen looked like Elle Mcpherson after a beach shoot

School Mums Valentines Day Date

Well yesterday was Valentines Day........Awwwwww

And Kaz & I felt the love ....LOL :)

We started our day off with a well needed coffee in Kingscliff  

followed by a browse through some shops to get props for future adventures ;)

But the highlight of our day was relaxing by the Tweed River @ Chinderah Tavern having a laugh , an even better lunch : My personal favourite being the Thai Beef Salad and Kaz loves there Mac & Cheese Balls. We also took the opportunity to kick off our new idea of 

BEER TUESDAY !!!!

Where we plan to review all the pubs around the coast with a beer every Tuesday.

The feeling of Love was in the air at Chinderah Pub with all there tables beautifully decorated with hand crafted wooden roses in a variety of amazing colours , with tiny bags of roses chocolates tied to each one for there patrons to take home.....Just Amazing.

Who says you need a man when you have a Best Friend to spend soppy Valentines Day with. 

All Kaz & I can say is we had a Fabulously Funny Valentines Day & it went way too fast

The staff were friendly....Our lunch was yummmm & The Beers were even better !!
